Over 90 percent of schools received the five-star rating. This is up from last year when 13, over 50 percent of schools, earned five stars.
Schools earning a five-star rating are Bennett’s Mill Middle, J.C. Booth Middle, Braelinn Elementary, Cleveland Elementary, Crabapple Lane Elementary, Fayette County High, Flat Rock Middle, Huddleston Elementary, Inman Elementary, Kedron Elementary, McIntosh High, North Fayette Elementary, Oak Grove Elementary, Peachtree City Elementary, Peeples Elementary, Rising Starr Middle, Robert J. Burch Elementary, Sara Harp Minter Elementary, Spring Hill Elementary, Starr’s Mill High, Whitewater High, and Whitewater Middle.
Four criteria are used to determine the ratings: student disciplinary records; surveys filled out by parents, students and faculty; school discipline incidents; and student attendance records. Schools receive ratings from 1-5.
