For the first time in history, Sandy Creek High School’s varsity academic team will compete in WSB-TV’s High-Q quiz competition after winning the Griffin RESA Academic Bowl Competition last year.

High-Q is a television competition show featuring high school teams from across the metro Atlanta area who compete against each other answering questions regarding various academic subjects.

Sandy Creek is one of 30 schools chosen to compete in High Q’s 34th season.

The Sandy Creek academic team members include Delaney Schulten, Isaac Presberg, Brandon Worrell, and Aleks Stec.

To prepare for the competition, team members have watched previous episodes of the competition.

The Patriots faced off against St. Pius X High School on Wednesday, October 9; the competition will air on Sunday, October 13.

Sandy Creek’s academic team is coached by math teacher Tony Kluemper.
