Students from Whitewater High showed the world their knowledge in marketing, retail merchandising and personal finance at the DECA International Career Development Conference, placing in the top 10 in their events.

Each event requires students to take an exam and perform a presentation. The top 10 performers on the exam and in the presentation receive silver-ribbon medallions. Finalists who compete in the final round of competition are awarded blue-ribbon medallions.

Matthew Moore was the only Whitewater High competitor to make it to the final round of competition and to earn a blue-ribbon medallion in his event, Personal Financial Literacy. He ended up finishing top 10 overall in the world. In addition, he also won a silver-ribbon medallion for the exam portion of the event.

Mason Rzepkowski received two silver-ribbon medallions in Marketing Communications, one for the exam and the other for his presentation.

McKenzie McManaman also received a silver-ribbon medallion for her presentation in Retail Merchandising.
