Elmer (Ziggy) Frank Zeglot, 86, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on October 17, 2018. He was born on September 20, 1932 in Pittsburgh, Pa.
Elmer is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy, of 58 years, his daughter Lora (Edward) Ryan, grandsons, Zakary and Colten, and cousins in Johnstown, Pa.
He was preceded in death by his father, Elmer Zeglot, mother, Ida Marlow, and stepfather, Tony Marlow.
He was a veteran of the US Navy and served during the Korean War as a lithographer on the USS Kearsarge. He spent 45 years working in the printing/graphic arts industry beginning as a pressman at Wm. G. Johnston. Most of his career was then spent as a salesman at Joseph Genstein Inc. covering the Western PA/Ohio area. He also worked at York, Tape & Label and Allegheny Plastics. Upon retiring in 1999, they relocated to Georgia to live near their daughter where he continued working part-time in printing sales. He loved spending time with his family and watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Atlanta Braves.
A private final goodbye will take place at SouthCare Cremation & Funeral Society.
