Nancy Hazelton Epstein, 71, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018. A Memorial Service was held on October 15, 2018, in the Chapel at Watson-Hunt Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests memorial contributions to First Baptist Church of Washington, P. O. Box 603, Washington, Ga. 30673, for a special project in memory of Nancy.
Nancy was born and raised in Fayetteville to the late James and Opal Holt Hazelton. In her early years, she taught family life skills to high-school students with special needs. After that experience, Nancy became a cosmetologist, owning and operating her own salon in various locations where she lived. Later, Nancy and her husband, both, worked in Marketing and became Senior Living Consultants, serving and living in over 15 different communities across the United States including Georgia, Florida, Alabama, North Carolina, Arkansas, Tennessee, and Texas, among many others. The couple chose to retire in Perry, Georgia, where they have lived and loved Houston Springs for the past 8 years.
Survivors include her loving and faithfully devoted husband of 30 years, Dr. Robert “Bob” Epstein of Perry; daughters, Alicia Madden (Pastor Kevin) of Washington, Georgia, and Jennifer Epstein of Washington, D.C.; grandsons, Noah Madden (Tarin) of New Orleans, Louisiana, and Taylor Madden of Washington, Georgia; brother, Ken Hazelton (Harriett) of Fayetteville; and several nieces and nephews.
