Peachtree City warns drivers to expect paving crews working east and west on the busy 4-lane this weekend
“The Georgia Department of Transportation advises that their contractor will be working round-the-clock this weekend, beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday night, Aug. 24, and ending at 6 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 27,” says a posting on the Peachtree City website.
“Paving of the outer (right-hand) lanes will begin at the Crystal Lake bridge in Fayetteville and move west through Peachtree City on Friday night and Saturday,” the city says.
“The contractor will then turn around and head westbound back through Peachtree City and back toward Fayetteville Saturday night through Monday morning. The right lane will be closed while the crews are working. Weather could impact this schedule,” the city website says.
