On May 24, 2018 at 6:25 a.m., Angels, Messengers from God, escorted our precious daughter, first born, Arminda “Mindy” Lynn Liles Oliver to the throne of Almighty God.

She was diagnosed with ovarian cancer 4 years ago. In March of 2018 at Piedmont Atlanta, she was told she had pancreatic cancer. Piedmont Atlanta and Piedmont Fayette gave her excellent care.

She was with her parents, Bill and Lynn (Gerken) Liles when she went home to be with her Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. She is a Warrior of the Cross of Calvary. Her life gave many opportunities to share the answer to sin thru forgiveness from Christ. He paid the sin debt for us. She never complained.

She worked at Kroger Store #490, Fayetteville, where she would work, go to chemo the next day on her day off, then back to work the following day. Gwen, Cynthia, and Marian are her dearest friends there. Mindy’s family is grieving deeply, but not without Hope. We know we will spend eternity with her because of Jesus, the King of Kings, our Savior. Do you know where you will go when you breathe your last breathe? John 3:16, Psalm 34:7-9, Philippians 3:20-21, and I Corinthians 15:51-58.

Mindy was preceded in death by her brother, William “Micky” V. Liles, Jr. and her maternal grandparents, Gilbert and Virginia Gerken.

She is survived by her parents, William and Lynn Liles, Sr.; husband, David Oliver; sister, Alissa Place; uncle, Johnny Gerken; nieces, Desirae Place, Mackenzie Hinkley, Natilea Hinkley, and Ronda Winn; and nephews, Camdyn Hinkley, Zaden Gay, and Karter Barnes.

A funeral service was held Sunday, May 27, 2018 at 3 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Mr. William Liles officiating. Burial took place at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville at 2 p.m. prior to the service. The family held a celebration of Mindy’s life after the service at the funeral home. Flowers are welcome, but contributions can be made in Mindy’s memory to St. Jude’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org.
