On the morning of Thursday, November 2, 2017, Robin Chaney, 62, passed away peacefully.
Robin was born on June 7, 1955 in Ft. McPherson, Ga. to the late Albert Sr. and Edna White Lackey. Growing up in a military family, she moved all over the world before settling in Griffin, Ga. In 1984, Robin graduated from Spalding County High School and began her 18 year career at Dundee Mills. With her family as her highest priority, she decided to stay home and take care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren whom she dearly loved. In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her flower garden, reading, and watching jeopardy.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her husband, Freddie D. Edwards; children, Ellen Rowland (Dennis) of Jones County; Freddie Edwards of Warner Robins; Stephen Edwards of Crawford County; Brandon Edwards (Jennifer) of Augusta; grandchildren, Preston; Reed; Garrett; Blake; Ethan; Elijah; Dean; Cali; Leah; Christian; great-grandson; Reed IV; siblings, Toni Peacock (Eddie); Paul Lackey (Crystal); Mark Lackey; Myron Lackey; Andy Lackey; Michael Lackey, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was Sunday, November 5, 2017 from 5 p.m. until 6 p.m. at McCullough Funeral Home. A funeral service immediately followed at 6 p.m. in the Chapel of McCullough. At the family’s request, burial will be private.
