0Robert Harold Thames, 71, of Hampton passed away September 1, 2017.
He was born on January 21, 1946 in Byron, Ga. to Robert Harold and Bessie Jewell Thames, Sr.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Dennerd.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Walker Thames; daughter, Lisa Thames (Bobby) Brogdon; grandchildren, Dillan and Brittany; brothers, Wayne Thames and Henry Hudson; sisters, Evelyn June Avera and Catherine Lewis; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will take place on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Rev. Thomas P. Coffee and Rev. Ricky Wayne Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends from 1 – 2 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Arthritis Foundation, www.arthritis.org.
