Enjoy Beatles liturgy at COS Aug. 27
Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City invites everyone to experience a “Beatles Liturgy” on Sunday, Aug. 27 at 10:50 a.m. Pastor Fritz Wiese took familiar tunes written by The Beatles and wrote new words to replace parts of worship and hymns. Handling old pics class set at LDS lab
The LDS family history lab in Fayetteville will host a class on handling, preserving and sharing old photographs on Tuesday, Sept. 5, at 7 p.m. The class will be held at 2021 Redwine Rd. in Fayetteville.

Fayetteville Christian plans BBQ
Fayetteville Christian Church, 114 Hickory Rd., Fayetteville will host its annual BBQ and Bake Sale Saturday, Sept. 9, from 11a.m.-2 p.m. The fund raiser is sponsored by the mission team. Dinners will include barbecue pork, bun, slaw, baked beans, pickle, and sauce.  Tickets are on sale now and someone will be in the foyer Sunday after the worship service with tickets.  The cost is $8 per ticket. First Christian Homecoming is Sept. 10
First Christian Church in Tyrone,  294 Jenkins Rd., will celebrate its annual Homecoming Service on Sunday Sept. 10. Sunday School is at 9:30 a.m. and the  church service is at 10:30 a.m.  Gary Boyd will bring the message and lunch will be served after the service  All former members and friends are invited to join.

Annual Greek Fest coming up
The annual Peachtree City GreekFest is set for Saturday, Sept. 16 from 6 p.m. until ? at the Dixie Wing Air Force Commemorative Hangar. The event will feature all your favorite Greek delicacies and pastries, adult beverages, live band and silent auction. Ebenezer UMC plans revival

All Saints seeking vendors for bazaar
All Saints Anglican Church is looking for local vendors for its Church Bazaar being held on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Apart from selling great handmade sewing and delicious baked goods, the church opens a few spaces to outside vendors. Volunteers sought for The Giving Peachtree
“The Giving Peachtree” is a community kindness club, designed to provide companionship and cheer to local nursing homes, hospices and hospitals. It is a  Humans helping Humans organization, established in memory of  Susan Shapiro, well known for her selfless acts of kindness to others, such as  spending countless hours crocheting blankets and hats for underprivileged babies.
