COS hosts beach party tonight
All students in middle and high school are encouraged to attend the back-to-school Beach Party at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church on Aug. 9, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Food, games, and water events are scheduled. All Saints seeking vendors for bazaar
All Saints Anglican Church is looking for local vendors for its Church Bazaar being held on Nov. 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Apart from great handmade sewing and delicious baked goods, the church opens a few spaces to outside vendors. All invited to choir meeting tonight at COS
The Sanctuary Choir at Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church invites all interested persons (adults and high-school age) to a free catered dinner and informational meeting on Aug. 9 at 7:30 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall. Minister of Music David Beecher will outline special worship events during the year, in which the church commemorates the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation. COS is on the corner of Ga. Highway 54 and Peachtree Parkway in Peachtree City.

FFUMC will offer GriefShare in August
GriefShare is a program where caring individuals walk with others through the journey of grief. Classes facilitated by Carol and Bill Webb will meet Mondays  at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church from 10 – 11:30 a.m. in Room B-350 beginning Aug. 14 for a 13-week session. Holy Trinity starts GriefShare Aug 16 & 18
Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Peachtree City will offer GriefShare to the community this fall. Sessions begin Wednesday, Aug. 16, from 7 – 9 p.m., or Friday, Aug. 18, from 9:30  – 11:30 a.m. Meetings are held in Room #102 of the Faith Formation Building. Volunteers sought for The Giving Peachtree
“The Giving Peachtree” is a community kindness club, designed to provide companionship and cheer to local nursing homes, hospices and hospitals. It is a  humans helping humans organization, established in memory of  Susan Shapiro, well known for her selfless acts of kindness to others, such as  spending countless hours crocheting blankets and hats for underprivileged babies. Summit to host free movie night
The Summit Church, 1373 Ga. Highway 92 South, Fayetteville, will host a Movie Night on Sunday, Aug. 13, at 5:30 p.m.  The movie will be “The Shack.” There will be a popcorn bar available. There is no charge.
