Pinewood Forrest in Fayetteville will eventually become home to 3,000 residents. Today, the first homes are beginning to come out of the ground and Pinewood Forrest has initiated a search for restaurant concepts and chefs to become a part of the new Village Square.

“At the heart of Pinewood Forrest is Village Square, a retail district comprised of nearly 93,000 square feet of curated retail, wellness and restaurant space,” said Skyline PR representative Adrienne Heintz. “Situated around three acres of multifunctional greenspace, Village Square will be activated with festivals, events and gathering areas that fuse public spaces, specialty retail and workspace together. Village Square is immediately accessible to the nearly 3,500 professionals that visit Pinewood Atlanta Studios every day.”

Setting the stage for the unfolding development, Oakhurst Realty Partners Vice President Todd Semrau said, “We are seeking authentic, chef-driven concepts looking to take the next step in an experiential and supportive community. We are excited about the progress underway at Pinewood Forrest and look forward to securing the retail concepts that will bring our community to life.”

Atlanta-based Oakhurst Realty Partners will oversee retail leasing as the commercial real estate partners for Pinewood Forrest, led by Semrau and Managing Partner B. Fisher Paty, who are exploring a wide range of distinctive entertainment and retail ideas for Village Square, including an incubator space, wellness concepts and entrepreneurial live/work gallery space for artisans, Heintz said.

“Our thesis is to create a village for creatives and storytellers. We are building an environment that removes obstacles and allows the creative class to thrive. As such, we are looking for highly differentiated retail concepts to call Pinewood Forrest home,” said Paty.

Envisioned as a community for storytellers, artisans and creatives, Pinewood Forrest spans 234 acres adjacent to Pinewood Atlanta Studios, the biggest purpose-built studio complex in the U.S. outside of Los Angeles. Once complete, Pinewood Forrest will be home to 3,000 residents. The sustainably-designed development will include 600 single-family residences, 100 townhomes, 600 multi-family flats and two hotel concepts connected by 15 miles of walkable pathways, said Heintz.

Groundbreaking for the first phase of single-family residences occurred in April. The first homes at Pinewood Forrest will be delivered and occupied by year-end, said Heintz.
