Peachtree City was ranked the best city in Georgia and No. 28 in the nation in a recent report by GoodCall.com on the Top 100 best cities for seniors to retire.

GoodCall reviewed data from 1,662 cities nationwide, and said Peachtree City was in the top 30 in the U.S., said GoodCall Media Relations representative Michelle Billick.

Peachtree City was featured within the top 5 percent for its prominence in a number of retirement-focused metrics such as percentage of residents 65 and older, access to healthcare, healthcare affordability, weather, amenities and low crime rates, Billick said.

First on the list for seniors was Chesterfield, Mo., followed by communities in Kansas, Florida, Arizona, South Carolina, North Carolina and Tennessee.

Other Georgia cities making the cut were Woodstock at No. 65, Alpharetta at No. 78 and Roswell at No. 90.
