John Remer Singletary, 71, passed away at his home Monday, February 20, 2017.
John was the son of the late Preston Remer and Katherine Jamerson Singletary. He was a lifelong resident of the Atlanta area and retired from the Delta Air Lines Sales Department. John was an Eagle Scout.
John was preceded in death by his sisters, Katherine Singletary Davis and Joan Singletary Johnson. He is survived by his wife, Sharron Poole Singletary; daughters, Katherine Singletary Stephens (Andy) and Amanda Carden (Charlie); granddaughters, Taylor Lynn Stephens and Autumn Cheyenne Stephens; and grandson, Gabriel Scott Carden.
A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday, February 25, 2017, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church, with a Celebration of Life at 12 p.m. Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions, in John’s memory, to Fayetteville First United Methodist Church.
