Dorothy-PierceMrs. Dorothy May (Nana) Freeman Pierce a long time resident of East Point, Ga. went to be with Jesus on February 21, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Parker B. Pierce, Sr. and her 6 siblings, Ben, Bud, Sara, Jenny, Jack and Betty Ann.

She is survived by her daughter, Joy Lee Pierce Doris and her husband, Joe of Fayetteville; son, Parker B. Pierce, Jr. and his wife, Kim of Jacksonville, Fla.; grandchildren, Jeff and Katrina Doris; Jim and Melanie Doris; Julie and Gary Butler; Rebekah and Ty Garrison; Parker and Sarom Pierce, III; great grandchildren, Nicholas, Victoria, Hannah and Zachary Doris; Anna, Michael and Emily Butler; Gracey, Jodey, Maddey and Sawyer Garrison and Kayla, Julie and Isla Pierce. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends.

A funeral service was held Friday, February 24, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Chapel of Parrott Funeral Home with Rev. Darwin Caldwell and Dr. J.W. Wallis officiating. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery.
