The Lenten season will begin on Ash Wednesday, March 1, at Fayetteville First United Methodist Church with the first Lenten Lunch at noon in the Fellowship Hall.

Lenten Lunches, sponsored by the United Methodist Women (UMW), include a light meal ($3) followed by a devotional. This year’s study is based on Adam Hamilton’s book, “Creed.”  The first session will be led by senior minister, Dr. David Campbell.

An Ash Wednesday service will be held in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m. with the imposition of ashes and a homily by the Rev. Allyson Lawrence. A nursery is provided.

Lenten Lunches continue on Thursdays throughout Lent from March 9 through April 13 at noon in the Fellowship Hall.

Everyone in the community is invited to participate, and no reservations are necessary.

Visit online at fayettevillefirst.com or call 770-461-4313 for more information.

Fayetteville First United Methodist Church is located at 175 East Lanier Ave., next to the historic courthouse in downtown Fayetteville.
