Cast members of Georgia Singers Company’s production of “The Wizard of Oz” recently performed a preview of the show for children’s hour at the Peachtree City Library.
Pictured here in casual costumes are Dorothy (Lydia Campbell), the Scarecrow (Jack Harwell), the Tin Man (Blake Ryan) and the Cowardly Lion (Christopher Nastasi).
The main stage production runs with a 35-member cast Nov. 10-13 at Sams Auditorium, 205 Lafayette Avenue in Fayetteville. Showtimes are 7 p.m. Nov. 10-12 and 3 p.m. Nov. 13.
Follow Dorothy’s magical adventures over the rainbow, following the yellow-brick road to the emerald city of Oz to meet the Wizard. Along the way she meets Glenda the Good Witch in Munchkin Land and finds traveling companions, the Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Lion in her quest to meet the Wizard and find her way back home to Kansas.
This classic story is alive on stage with familiar songs and some adventures that never made it into the movie. Tickets are $12 at the door.
