Healing4Heroes was recently presented checks totaling $3,000 to help support the Veterans Assistance Program at the monthly meeting of Auxiliary Unit 50.

The American Legion Auxiliary District Four president for 2016, Liz Geiger, chose Healing4Heroes as her President’s Project and collected $2,876.94 from various Auxiliary Units in the Georgia area. Liz rounded up the total to $3,000 by adding a personal check for the balance.

Healing4Heroes is a nonprofit 501c(3) organization dedicated to assisting military servicemembers and veterans lead healthy, productive lives. Their objective is to connect wounded service members, as well as those with post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury, with ADA-compliant service dogs.
