“A Cinema of Outcasts,” a four-part film series of forgotten films in conjunction with The Newnan Film Society, is being shown at the Carnegie Library, 1 LaGrange Street in Newnan.
The first showing, featuring Terrence Malick’s “Badlands,” is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 22, 6-9 p.m.
For this series the Newnan Film Society has chosen four forgotten films with historical context. Each of these films has been chosen for the historical influence they have had on shaping film as an art form, and each viewing will conclude with a guided discussion. Refreshments will be provided.
