Rinnai, the number-one selling brand of tankless water heaters in the United States and Canada whose U.S. headquarters are in Peachtree City, has announced that Takashi “Tak” Sonoda, President of Rinnai America, has been promoted to corporate auditor at the company’s headquarters in Nagoya, Japan, effective June 28.
Yuzo Yoshida, Rinnai’s Director and Senior Managing Executive Officer and General Manager of Overseas Business, will lead Rinnai America’s continued growth as president.
Frank Windsor, Rinnai America’s general manager (pictured above), has been promoted to Rinnai America’s chief operating officer and will report directly to Yoshida. Windsor will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Rinnai America and the continued rapid growth of the business.
“For nearly four years, Tak’s leadership has embodied the bold and innovative spirit of Rinnai, taking our employees to the next level of commitment for our customers, dealers and installers,” said Windsor. “And with our new leadership structure, we have all the confidence that we are well positioned for continued success in enhancing lives by changing the way water is heated.”
Since naming Sonoda president in 2012, Rinnai America has experienced significant progress, growing from approximately 125 to 180 employees, as well as setting record unit sales and revenue in 2014 and 2015.
Yoshida joined Rinnai in 1976 and has held numerous positions throughout his 40 years with the company.
Before stepping into his new role as COO, Windsor served two years as Rinnai America’s general manager. Prior to Rinnai, he served 23 years at Kohler Company, climbing the ladder in numerous positions to vice president.
