The Coweta-Fayette Rotary Club will meet Monday, March 21, at 6:30 p.m. at Senoia Coffee & Cafe, 1 Main Street in Senoia.
The special guest is Assistant U.S. Attorney Angela Munson, who will be sharing about her time as resident legal advisor in Iraq.
From June of 2011 to July of 2012, she lived at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad while giving legal advice to the ambassador and working with Iraqi judges to restore the rule of law in Iraq. She traveled to other areas of Iraq including Tikrit and Calsu.
Munson served as the legal representative in Iraqi criminal court on behalf of soldiers who were killed or wounded in action as a result of acts of terrorism during their service.
“Angela Munson has a deep and abiding respect for those who serve and have served in the various branches of the military,” according to a Rotary spokesperson.
