East Coweta has reached the AAAAAA state softball quarterfinals with a sweep of Collins Hill, winning 12-4 and 5-1.
The eight remaining teams in the bracket will take the field Oct. 29-31 in the state tournament in Columbus.
In AAAAA, Whitewater lost to Worth Co. 3-0 and 2-1 in the round of 16.
Landmark also saw its season end, in the A playoffs as the 16th seed, with a series loss to top-seeded Brookstone. Landmark lost 6-4, won 10-2 and lost 14-2.
