Howl-o-Ween, a fundraiser to help local animals, is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, at Flat Creek Country Club, 100 Flat Creek Road in Peachtree City.
The event is sponsored by St. Nick’s Closet. Proceeds will be used to help the following local organizations:
* Fayette Animal Shelter.
* Ani-Meals, which provides pet food to seniors on limited budgets and is sponsored by Fayette Senior Services.
* Help Spay & Neuter Clinic, which provides humane and affordable pregnancy prevention.
* Healing4Heroes, which provides companion dogs to active duty and vets with PTSD, and also rescues dogs in shelters to be trained as companions.
* Bully Wags, which educates public about pit bulls and prevents cruelty and euthanasia to these dogs and facilitates adoption of dogs.
The event will have food, dancing, a karaoke contest, fortune teller, open and closed auctions, and more. The prize for the best costume is $250.
The “Gasman” from The Walking Dead will attend. There will be plenty of photo opportunities.
