When Publix customers at Fayette County store locations donated to the “Food For All” campaign at the check-out register, they gave hope to individuals and families associated with The Children’s Village.

Proceeds of $6,867.24 from the annual campaign benefitted The Children’s Village at Christian City. All five Publix Super Markets in Fayette County donated proceeds from their annual “Food For All” campaign to this cause.

Accepting the generous donation, Phil Kouns, COO of The Children’s Village, applauded the initiative of Publix as a corporation to raise money to help fight hunger and increase the level of self-sufficiency for those in need.

“Ongoing support from annual campaigns like ‘Food For All’ makes such a difference for The Children’s Village at Christian City. Because of faithful support from the community, we are able to minister to the needs of abused and abandoned children who now live safely on our campus,” Kouns said.

The Children’s Village at Christian City is a 501(c)3 nonprofit in Union City. For 50 years, The Children’s Village has offered life services and a safe haven for children aged 5-17 who are in crisis. The majority of the children who come to the residential program have been victims of abuse, neglect, or abandonment.
