The Fayete Youth Leaders Pride (FYLP) induction ceremony is Tuesday, Aug. 11, 6 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church, 551 New Hope Road in Fayetteville.
The organization “represents Fayette County’s most innovative, influential ambitious student leaders” from all five of the county’s public high schools.
AVPRIDE’s year-long program provides them an opportunity to connect with current community leaders, engage in decision-making processes, and provide a platform for youth voice.
Guest speaker for the Aug. 11 event is Joel Cowan.
