Pack 279 is hosting a scouting event for all area boys Saturday, July 11, 1-4 p.m. at Line Creek Park.
The event is free, sponsored by Pack 279, and open to young boys first grade and up (scouts and non-scouts).
There will be demonstrations of tent raising, dutch oven desserts, hiking, knot tying and “lots of good old-fashioned fun,” according to organizers.
