A golf cart struck a pedestrian before sunrise Wednesday morning on the bridge across Lake Peachtree near City Hall, causing a “severe injury to his right leg,” Peachtree City police reported.
“On Jan. 7, 2015 at approximately 6:54 a.m., officers responded to the golf cart path at the Lake Peachtree bridge in reference to a report of a collision involving a golf cart vs. pedestrian,” police said.
“Preliminary investigations revealed that the victim was walking west on the cart path towards City Hall when a golf cart approached the pedestrian from behind and struck him,” police said.
“The victim suffered a severe injury to his right leg and was transported to Piedmont Fayette Hospital for treatment,” police said.
“Remember that pedestrians ALWAYS have the right of way on the multi-use path system,” police said.
