“Nuncrackers,”the sequel to the hit, “Nunsense,” is coming to The Legacy Theatre beginning Nov.21. The show features new songs and new laughs but stars the same nuns audiences know and love.

Artistic Director Mark Smith said, “Our 2012 production of “Nunsense” was a hit and we know our audiences will love this sequel just as much. We were even able to bring back all of our original cast of nuns as well as a new cast member as Father Virgil and quite a few local kids.”

“Nuncrackers is fun, upbeat and just silly. It’s great holiday fun for the whole family and we even have companies attend for their employee Christmas parties. It’s a feel-good comedy that everyone can enjoy,” added executive producer, Bethany Hayes Smith. “Tickets have been going fast and we can’t wait for opening night!”

The musical features all new songs including: “Twelve Days Prior to Christmas”, “Santa Ain’t Comin’ To Our House”, and “We Three Kings of Orient Are Us”. This show is filled with “Nunsense” humor and even some of your favorite carols. “Nuncrackers” will make you laugh; tug at your heart- strings and is the perfect way to insure your holiday season is merry and bright.

The show is directed by Mark Smith and choreographed by Bethany Hayes Smith. The returning nuns include Ally Duncan, Fracena Byrd,Nancy Riggs and Eliana Marianes ,as well as Legacy regular Nathan Lubeck as Father Virgil recently seen as the Danny Kaye role in “The Andrews Sisters.”

In addition to “Nuncrackers,” The Legacy is also producing another holiday favorite, “Madeline’s Christmas, “especially for the kids. “Nuncrackers” is followed by “Ring of Fire,” a jukebox musical featuring all the hits of Johnny Cash. In April, The Legacy Theatre will be producing the official developmental production and Atlanta premiere of “Rocket Boys,” based on the book that inspired the film ‘October Sky’ and finishing out the season will be the movie musical hit, “Footloose” in the summer of 2015.
