YP Fayette, the Young Professionals of Fayette County, brings Alisa Kirk, Area Director for Clayton State University Small Business Development Center to their Speaker N’ Latte Feb. 26 at 8:30 a.m.
“Alisa has both the education and the experience behind running a small business,” said Networking Chair, Ellie White-Stevens, Marketing Guru. “She’s an approachable speaker and brings a lot of wisdom to our group.”
Alisa Kirk’s topic is “Overcoming Your Number One Enemy: Yourself.”
Members will learn five ways that successful business leaders can sabotage themselves, and how to recognize and overcome them. Kirk said, “I’ll also tell stories of business owners I’ve worked with who have met these challenges and how they’ve handled them.”
What is the SBDC? Kirk explained, “SBDC consultants have worked with hundreds of local small business owners to develop strategies for sustainable growth. Thanks to the SBA and the University of Georgia, along with Clayton State University on a local level, we’re able to provide one-on-one services to entrepreneurs at no cost to them.”
The Feb. 26 SNL includes a full breakfast, sponsored by Truett’s Luau. The networking, breakfast and presentation last about an hour, starting at 8:30 a.m. in the Fayette Chamber meeting room at the Waterfall Complex, 600 W. Lanier Ave, Suite 205 in Fayetteville. The cost is $10 for non-members, and free for members.
