PTC Sk8s is proud to announce sponsorship of the Opekuat Great Skate Across Peachtree City June 29. Registration begins at 11:30 a.m at Kedron Elementary School with a departure time of noon.
Participants will skate to the skateboard park via golf cart paths. Estimated travel time is one hour.
At the skate park, hamburgers, hot dogs, and sodas will be served, and various fun activities are planned. Free T-shirts will be given to the first 100 participants. Participants under 12 years old need to be accompanied by a parent, and skaters 16 years old or younger need to abide by the helmet law of Peachtree City. Participation is limited to the first 100 who register. All activities are free.
PTC Sk8s was formed by Pat and Chris Phillips last year for the improvement of skateboarding facilities in Peachtree City, primarily the skate park at the Frederick Brown Amphitheater. While their 501c3 application is pending with the IRS, PTC Sk8s is working with the city to do what they can to organize the skateboarding community and to make the skating at the skate park as enjoyable as possible.
