Wm. Douglas Walker, 59, of Fayetteville, passed away May 22, 2013.

He was a lifelong resident of Fayette County and Fayetteville First Baptist Church. He retired as president of Walker Concrete. He was an Aviation enthusiast who loved to fly helicopters and planes.

He is survived by his wife Debbie Walker; daughters Jo Ana & her husband Ashley Schine of Fayetteville, Susanna & her husband Sean Connor of Decatur, Madeline Walker of Fayetteville & her fiancé Peter Walker of Australia and Molly Walker of Fayetteville; grandchildren Avery Schine and Morgan and Rowan Connor; parents Barney & Sue Walker; mother-in-law Arbie Bridges of McDonough; sister Rose & her husband Wayne Harris, brother Dell & his wife Andrea Walker and sister Jamie & her husband Jeff Gilmore all of Fayetteville; several nieces and nephews; His beloved dog Jack .

A funeral service was held Saturday, May 25, 2013 at 11 a.m. at Fayetteville First Baptist Church (Worship Center), Fayetteville.

Reverend Glenn Stringham, Dr. Benny Tate, Reverend Jim Battles and Reverend Jim Thomas officiated. The burial followed at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. The family received friends Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
