The Fayette County Public Library has announced it’s time for summer reading programs and this year they have a lineup of activities for teens. They re all centered on the theme of “Beneath the Surface” and each week in June and July there will be games, movies and creative opportunities for ages 11 through 17 at the library.
It all kicks off June 1 and teens are invited to come and read for prizes as well as taking part in workshops.
Workshops include: teen social media etiquette, Zumba and arts and crafts as well as Monday at the Movies and a gaming session every Wednesday.

Beginning June 1, teens can register to attend these free events at the main circulation desk and also pick up a trivia sheet and book review form for June.
Those who successfully complete both sheets will receive prizes and their name will be entered into a monthly drawing for a grand prize.
The “Beneath the Surface” teen summer reading program is sponsored by the Fayette County Public Library and the Friends of the Library.
