The Friends of the Peachtree City Library will hold their annual book sale on Saturday, September 15, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. The sale will be held in the lower level of the Peachtree City Library. The sale is open to the public.
The sale is the Friends’ principal fundraiser. Friends President Lani Clancy notes that all money collected goes directly to the library, since the Friends’ administrative expenses are underwritten by a private grant. “Last year, we raised almost $8,000 from book sales. From that, we paid nearly $3,500 for the Children’s Vacation Reading Program. We have already this year bought more than $3,000 worth of books for the library, and will buy another $4,000 worth before the year is over.
