Michelle McConnell (kneeling) and Staci Campbell stake out their July 4th parade watching spot on Peachtree Parkway South near Luther Glass Park. Campbell is the daughter of former Mayor Bob Lenox, and both Peachtree City natives Michelle and Staci rode on Lenox’s election-year float in the 1991 parade. Their families have been watching the parade together from this area for the past eight years, joined this year by Michelle’s 7-month-old. They said they had not planned to put out their tarp this early, but noticed that spots were starting to be reserved earlier this year.
