One Fayetteville mother-to-be can add a Georgia Lottery win to her family tree. Jennifer Desai, 24, won a $225,000 top prize playing the instant game Cash Crop.

She and her husband, Tyrone, anticipate starting their own business.

“We’re just a hard-working, young family,” she said. “We’re going to finish fixing up our home.”

The couple, who recently purchased their first home, is expecting their second child in November.

Desai, who works at a car dealership, described her win as exciting and shocking. Her husband presented her with the ticket.

“To our surprise, it was the winner,” she exclaimed. “It’s been a very fun day.”

Texaco Food Mart, 5209 W. Fayetteville Road in College Park, sold the winning ticket.
