To help raise awareness for child abuse prevention, the Fayette County Department of Family and Children Services is hosting a fun event for children Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon.
There will be a balloon artist, petting zoo, face painting and other activities and games for children. Also the Fayetteville Police Department will offer child identification cards and the Fayette County Health Department will offer free vision, dental and hearing screenings for children.
Also there will be a number of community partners providing information on services offered by the library, counseling agencies, summer camps and more.
The event will be located at the DFCS offices off Ga. Highway 85 south in Fayetteville just south of Ramah Road, directly across from Rite-Aid pharmacy.
