Peachtree City’s Cooper Lighting on March 25 in recognition of being awarded its company’s Environmental Excellence Award presented a $7,500 award grant to the Southern Conservation Trust for improvements to the Line Creek Nature Area in Peachtree City.
Among those at the presentation were Fayette County Chamber of Commerce President Virginia Gibbs, Cooper Lighting representatives Mark Eubanks, Bob Richard, Terence Clarke and Russell Green, Southern Conservation Trust Executive Director Pam Young and board members Kevin Thames, Amy Egoroff, David Blalock and Jerry Peterson.
“We are excited to have Cooper Lighting as a conservation partner,” Young said, noting the coming improvements for the nature area’s 23,000 annual visitors. “This grant allows us to make needed improvements to the Line Creek Nature Area, including a new driveway, stone edging for the parking lot, additional parking lot safety barriers and erosion control with decorative landscaping at the entrance of the nature area.” Photo/Ben Nelms.
