Jimmie Foster, the National Commander of The American Legion just completed a visit to Georgia.  During his visit, Commander Foster met with government officials, toured VA facilities and briefed his fellow Legionnaires on the many issues affecting veterans.  The American Legion is the nation’s largest veterans organization with over 2.5 million members, all former veterans or currently serving in the military.  Commander Foster, left, served in both the Marine Corps and the Army, is shown with Denny Leander, Fayette County Post 105 Commander.  Also pictured is Larry Newsome, Post Adjutant and B.I. Murrell, former Post 105 Commander.  Fayette County Post 105 meets monthly at the Log Cabin in Fayetteville. Photo/Special.
