Yard sale for African orphans

Co Baldwin (left) and Day Poling were among those at the yard sale held last weekend at Carriage Lane Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City. More than $9,000 was raised to benefit orphans and vulnerable children in Uganda, East Africa through Pearl Ministries, a Birmingham, Ala.-based nonprofit organization founded by former Fayette County resident Jamie Rosser Laslo and her husband, Scott. The proceeds of the sale go directly to Pearl Ministries and its overseas partner, Ranch on Jesus Orphanage Ministries.Thousands of items from the usual to the unique were sold, including baby gear, home decor, furniture and a spinet piano.
