• Amit D Salkar and Erin Paige Ricker of Peachtree City, Ga., and Lauren W. Myer of Fayetteville earned the Doctor of Medicine degree from Mercer University’s School of Medicine during the School’s commencement on May 8 on the University’s Macon campus. Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree.
In all, the University held 10 ceremonies in May in Macon and Atlanta and conferred approximately 1,600 bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees.

Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree. Jessica Leigh Riner Floyd of Fayetteville, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Social Science cum laude., Latoya Queshonta Bostic of Riverdale, Ga., earned the Master of Science in Community Counseling, Murry J. Patten of Fairburn, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Applied Science and William Eddie Edwards of Fairburn, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems .
• The following local students graduated fromfrom Mercer University’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences on May 8 during the College’s commencement ceremony on the University’s Atlanta campus. Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree at the ceremony.Carrie L Ashley of Peachtree City, Ga., earned a Doctor of Pharmacy cum laude, Diane Ofili of Fayetteville, Ga., earned a Master of Medical Science and Molly Snyder Knowles of Fayetteville, Ga., earned a Doctor of Pharmacy .
• The following local residents graduated from Mercer University’s Tift College of Education during the College’s commencement on May 22 on the University’s Atlanta campus. Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree. Keshia D. Terry of Fairburn, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Education, Mary K. Franklin of Fayetteville, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Education, Tekela R. Walker of Riverdale, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Education, Virginia Lauden of Peachtree City, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Education magna cum laude, Borato Marcellus Broughton of Fairburn, Ga., earned the Master of Education .
• Tracy Noel McAteer of Peachtree City, Ga., earned the Bachelor of Science in Information Systems summa cum laude from Mercer University’s College of Continuing and Professional Studies during the College’s commencement on May 15 on the University’s Macon campus. Mercer President William D. Underwood conferred the degree. Mcateer was also a member of Alpha Sigma Lambda.
• Shorter University has announced the spring 2010 Dean’s List honorees. To achieve this honor, students must complete a minimum of 12 semester hours and earn at least a 3.5 grade point average for the term. Justin Kyle Bell and Meredith Elizabeth Rhodes of Brooks and Laura Anne Watson and Sarah Weaver Webb of Peachtree City.
• Megan and Katie Faulkner of Peachtree City have accpeted membership in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Katie will be honored during an induction convocation this fall on the campus of Georgia College and State University. Megan will be honored during a convocation this fall on the campus of the University of Georgia.
