Town Square Jewelers on the Square in Fayetteville is pleased to invite everyone to the store to vote for a winner in the “My Mother is a Gem” contest. Local kindergarten through 5th graders wrote letters explaining why their mother is a gem and deserves to be the recipient of a beautiful amethyst and diamond necklace. The eighteen finalists were chosen and are posted around the store for everyone to read. You are invited to cast a vote for your favorite.
“There were over 300 letters submitted. Each and everyone was very touching. There are some very loved mothers in the Fayette County area. It was difficult for us to choose the eighteen finalist.s They all deserve to win.” said Maggie Zerkus of Town Square Jewelers. “We encourage the community to come by and read the letters. I guarantee it will make you smile.”
The voting will conclude on Apr. 30 and the prize will be awarded to the child to present to their mother at a Celebration of Mom. The public is invited to this celebration at Town Square Jewelers on Saturday May 1 at 1 p.m.
The store hours for voting on your favorite letter are Monday- Saturday 10 a.m.-6 p.m. No purchase is necessary to cast a vote.
