Flat Creek will start new classes

Flat Creek Baptist Church will offer new classes beginning this weekend. Preceding the classes on Sundays, the Adult Discipleship Hour will be held in the Worship Center at 4:45 p.m. led by the pastor.

On Wednesdays. Prayer Meeting and Devotion sessions will be led by the pastor at 6:30 p.m.

On Sunday, Jan. 10, Flat Creek will offer Dave Ramsey’s Financial Peace University at 6:30 p.m. in Room A-200.

“Ramsey covers such things as how to save money, live on a budget, communicate about money, eliminate debt, find bargains, and experience the joy of giving,” a spokesperson said.

The class consists of 13 sessions and costs $99 per family.

On Tuesday, Jan. 12, from 9:30-11:30 a.m., ladies are invited to Ladies’ Tuesday Morning Bible Study, “Discerning the Voice of God” by Priscilla Shirer. The class will be led by Carra Rathbun.

On Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m., in room A-200, “Faith Lessons on the Promised Land” by Ray Vander Laan will be led by Mark Ward.

This class is an in-depth video tour of the buried, distant, or otherwise forgotten places where the stories of the Bible actually happened. This study will challenge long held Western assumptions about the most well-known Scripture passages, putting the Bible in a whole new light.

The class consists of 10 sessions and there is no charge.

Also on Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in room A-207, “Breaking Free,” a study by Beth Moore, will be led by Rhonda Jones.

“Beth uses Scripture to help identify spiritual strongholds in your life, no matter how big or small,” a spokesperson said. The class consists of 11 sessions, and the cost is $15 for the book.

“Experiencing God” By Henry Blackaby will be led by David Rathbun beginning Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 6:30 p.m. in Room A-203.

“God has used ‘Experiencing God’ in His work, showing believers how to know Him intimately while encouraging them to step out on faith and join Him in His work,” a spokesperson said. The class consists of 12 sessions and the cost is $15 for the book.

The church is on Flat Creek Trail between Ga. Highway 54 and Tyrone Road.
