Roger Clyde Hancock, 75, of Fayetteville passed away on January 22, 2017.

He was born on May 28, 1941 in Cullman, Ala. to Jesse Clyde and Erma Viola Hancock. He was a member of Fayetteville First Baptist.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his sisters, Betty Whitlock and Bonnie McAfee, and is survived by his wife of 51 years, Susan Hancock; his daughter, Laura Hoeve (John); his son, Chris Hancock (Lori); his grandchildren, Callan Hoeve, Mitchell Hoeve and Hailey Hancock; and his brother, Richard Hancock (Gennette).

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 27, 2017 at the Overton Chapel of Fayetteville First Baptist Church, Fayetteville, Ga., with Rev. Jack Miller, Rev. Glenn Stringham and Dr. Jim Thomas.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12-2 p.m. prior to the service.
