Jean-Ann-PinkepankJean Ann Pinkepank of Peachtree City went to be with the Lord January 12, 2017.

Living a full and interesting life of 90 years, she was a beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and dear friend.

Born in Pensacola, Jean moved extensively throughout her lifetime, both as the child of a naval aviator and later as the wife of husband Merril, also a naval aviator. Some of the many places she called home included San Diego, Pearl Harbor, Sunnyvale, Calif., Washington D.C., Jacksonville, Alexandria, Va., Newport R.I., Platteville Wis., and finally Peachtree City. Jean’s sweet and flexible personality allowed her to make good friends wherever she went.

Jean was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, Captain Merril C. Pinkepank.

She is survived by her daughter (Mary) Louise Ward and son-in-law Chester of Costa Mesa, Calif.; son Bill Pinkepank and daughter-in-law Libby of Wayne, Ill.; son Jim Pinkepank and daughter-in-law Randi of Peachtree City; grandchildren Brett Pinkepank, Kelly Smith, Michael Ward, Scott Ward, Kristi Pinkepank, Mark Pinkepank, Janice Pinkepank, and Lauren Pinkepank; great grandchildren Alexandra Smith, Wib Pinkepank, and Clayton Smith; and numerous extended family members and friends. Her love, kindness and gentle spirit will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 4 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Peachtree City, with Rev. Jim Martin officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to the time of service. The Carmichael-Hemperley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. She will be laid to rest at Barrancas National Cemetery, Naval Air Station Pensacola, Fla. on Monday, January 23, 2017 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to St. Paul Lutheran Church and School, 700 Ardenlee Pkwy., Peachtree City, Ga. 30269.
