0Fayetteville residents honor the flag during a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at a concert Sunday to remember the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the United States.
The concert at The Villages Amphitheater in downtown Fayetteville featured the Tara Winds concert band, along with special presentations to mark the occasion. The crowd was asked not just to remember the victims of the terrorist attacks in New York, Washington and Pennsylvania, but also those in the military who have fought in the subsequent war against terror in both Iraq, Afghanistan and other global locations following the 2001 attacks.
