Rashad J. Majeed, 30, Fayetteville, went home to be with the Lord on July 27, 2011.
He was born in Los Angeles, CA and raised in Fayetteville, GA. He attended elementary, middle and high school there. He liked music at an early age and played saxophone during middle school. He also developed a great singing voice but preferred to rap and became a rapper; calling himself ACAL, representing his California and Atlanta roots. He always enjoyed our holiday drives or flights to Arkansas or California to visit relatives.
He is survived by his children Chantara and Jayla Majeed; parents Ronald and Barbara Majeed; brother Jamaal A. Majeed; Aunts Melodie Burk, Doris Bryant, Elizabeth Burks, Bertha Dortch, Margaret Burton, Willa Austin and Gladys Dortch; Uncles Eugene Dortch, Thomas Dortch and Virgil Dortch; cousins, Nini Simean, Rhonda Hayes, Carl Simean, Gerald Simean, John Semean, Kenneth Simean and a host of relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Mowell Funeral Home, Fayetteville with Pastor Walter Holston officiating. Burial will follow at Camp Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
