Billy Joe Peacock, 78, of Port Charlotte, Fla., long time resident of Peachtree City, Ga., passed away at home, surrounded by his family and friends on Monday Nov. 6, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Barbara (Beanland) Peacock.
Bill was born in Jeffersonville, Ga. on Feb. 16, 1939. He was from a family of 8 children of the late William T Peacock and Irene (Tyson) Peacock. He is survived by 2 sisters Cathy McInvale and Jackie Arthur.
Bill was a veteran, serving in the Navy. He served on the USS Cascade, from 1957-1959. He worked at his family’s business, M A Industries for over 40 years. He loved working with his family as well as enjoyed golfing with his brothers. He was a Charter member of the Fayette Shrine club and also a member of the Aarab Guard, and the Golf Association.
Bill enjoyed his family. He is survived by a daughter Brenda ( Peacock) Folk, husband Martin Folk, a son William Peacock (Butch) wife Connie (Clifton) Peacock and 4 grandchildren Emily Folk, Catherine (Lyle) Folk, Carolyn Folk and Dylan Peacock.
The Family invites friends and family to attend a Celebration of Life Service to be held Dec. 10, 2017 at the Fayette Shrine Club on Ellis road Fayetteville, Ga., from 2-4 p.m.
There will be a second Service held in Florida in Jan. 2018 for his many friends from Florida.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Yaarab Shrine, the American Cancer Society, or Tidwell Hospice.
