Children from Christ Our Shepherd Lutheran Church in Peachtree City will present a new musical, “In the Image,” on Saturday, May 6, at 6 p.m., and Sunday, May 7, at 8:30 a.m. These children in grades one through five participate in the church’s Music and the Master ministry every Wednesday.
Among the 20 roles they will play are some unusual parts: “Catalyst,” “Environmentalist,” “Sleepy,” “Poet,” and more. According to author/composer Mark Burrows, the musical “features children who have just experienced the story of Creation, and now they engage in humorous, earnest exploration to discover what it really means to be created in the image of God.”
Cast members are: Ethan Williams, Amelia Ellison, Molly Marland, Thomas Hawkins, Emilio Black, Ruby Marland, Ava Kelly, Maiya Frederick, Hope Catlett;
Vanessa Hausner, Bella Bowers, Bella Frolio, Laney Linville, Sam Kreutzer, Aubrey Riecke, Benjamin White, Andrew Hausner; Owen McDowell, Mari Hegrenes, and Chelby Gambrel.
The young musicians will also ring handbells and Choir Chimes.
