DAPC Meeting – tonight, November 1
The Development Authority of Peachtree City (DAPC) will meet tonight at 6:00 p.m. in City Council Chambers at City Hall. The agenda includes the Shop PTC / Find it in Fayette! Holiday Village, a Bond Resolution for up to $16,000,000 in Revenue Bonds for acquisition and redevelopment of Towne Club, and a possible change in the regular meeting date and time. The meeting is open to the public.
WASA meeting–tonight, November 1
The Peachtree City Water & Sewerage Authority (WASA) will consider request to use the old Flat Creek Plant site for a community garden. The meeting begins at 6:30 p.m. at the WASA offices, 1127 Highway 74 South, and is open to the public.
November 4 City Council Meeting
The Mayor & Council meet this Thursday, November 4, 7:00 p.m., at City Hall. Agenda items include a request to Fayette County for funding for transportation projects, appointment of an Interim City Manager, reclassification of the Cart Path Supervisor position, and authorization to Submit TE Grant Application for the Highway 54 West landscape enhancement project. Sewer Rates
On October 21, the Mayor and City Council discussed the new sewer rates with members of the Peachtree City Water & Sewerage Authority (WASA). The Mayor & Council do not have authority to set or change the rates. Residents with questions should contact WASA at 770-487-7993.

Volunteers Needed! – Airport, Leisure Services, WASA, and CVB Boards
Peachtree City is accepting applications for volunteer, non-paid seats on several boards, including the Peachtree City Airport Authority, which owns and operates Atlanta Regional Airport/Falcon Field; the Leisure Services Commission, which provides input to Council on Recreation and the Library; the Peachtree City Water & Sewerage Authority, which owns and operates Peachtree City’s sewer system; and the Peachtree City Convention and Visitors Bureau (applicants for CVB must be a manager / owner / operator of a recreational venue, sports association, or athletic facility). Applications are available online at www.peachtree-city.org/jobs under the Volunteer section, and are due to City Hall by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, December 3. General Election – Tuesday, November 2. No voting on Today (November 1), and residents must vote at their regular polling places on Tuesday, November 2. Polls will be open 7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. Visit www.sos.ga.gov/mvp/ for sample ballots and to locate your polling place.
Dancing with the Chiefettes at McIntosh High School – Thursday, November 4, 7:00 p.m., at McIntosh High School Auditorium. Every year, a member of the dance team pairs up with a member of the wrestling team, with the dancer teaching the wrestler a dance, ensuring an evening of great dancing and many laughs. Admission is $5 per person, and all proceeds will go directly to the Chiefettes and the wrestling team.
Jewelry & Accessory Expo – Saturday, November 6, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., at Kedron Fieldhouse. Browse a variety of handcrafted items, including necklaces, bracelets, earrings, hair bows, headbands, scarves, bags, totes, purses, and more! This is the perfect girl’s day out. SCT Birds of Prey Program– Saturday, November 6, 2:00 p.m., at Sams Lake Sanctuary (Old Senoia Road, south of Redwine Road, just outside Fayetteville). Southern Conservation Trust presents Dale Arrowood and his Winged Ambassadors, a group of trained non-releasable birds of prey that will perform soaring free flight demonstrations over the wetlands.
