A Peachtree City man who was seriously injured in a head-on auto crash on Ga. Highway 74 south Thursday morning has died, police said.

Stuart Hoff, 67, owner of Phoenix Star taxi service, died after he was transported to Grady Memorial Hospital via air ambulance, police said.

The crash also seriously injured the driver of the other vehicle, identified as Daniel Jimenez-Dominquez, 24, of Atlanta, police said. Jiminez-Dominquez was also airlifted to Grady Memorial for treatment.

Police said Hoff’s vehicle, an older model Scion xB, was traveling north on Hwy. 74 prior to the crash when it crossed the median and struck Jiminez-Dominquez’s Honda Civic head-on.

The crash occurred just after 8 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy. 74 near the Rinnai campus.

Both victims were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters.

The crash is being investigated by the police department’s Community Response Team, which has special training in auto accident reconstruction.
